Rain rain, I love water from the sky
Up ahead the sky was dark. More and more cars from the opposite direction had their headlights on. Once in a while, I saw cars with their wipers swiping. I smiled to myself, anticipating the rain not far ahead. Earlier, I had my handphone and camera wrap-up in plastic bag to prevent them from getting wet in the rain.
I was riding my motorcycle on the way back to Taiping from Bahau. It was a long trip and my back started aching. It must have been accumulated from yesterday’s ride as one night of rest just isn’t enough to fully recover myself.
I kept riding in spite the dark sky and my aching back. Then, I heard it, drops of rain tip tapping on my helmet. Cars ahead had their wipers turned on full swing. The surrounding is misty, rain water covered up my helmet.
I kept riding.
The rain got heavier and I my jeans were soaking up. Water got into the leather shoes through my pants, as water drips from pants into the shoes. Bit by bit, I can feel my tummy got wet too as the jacket couldn't hold any longer…and then the shoulder. Before you know it, I am all drench, except my face and head.
Traffic started building up at the opposite direction. At one point, the traffic was at standstill. The same thing happens at my side of the road when there was an accident. A car plunges into the drain. I had a quick glance only as I was busy trying to slow my bike. The road was really slippery and I had a hard time trying to slow it down.
The rain poured all the way from Ipoh to Taiping.
Travelled 828km in 2 days. Many many cars on the road. It is the right choice to ride bike instead of car, save a lot of time and tol fees.

Lots of cars....
The traffic jam piled from the Ipoh tunnel to Jelapang tol.
Sorry for the bad quality photo, it was raining heavily that time and I had to protect the camera from getting wet.The rain poured all the way from Ipoh to Taiping.
