Sick again
It was just one month ago when I recover from flu and sore throat. I remember it well because I fell sick the first day I went back to work after CNY. Without the help of doctor and medication, I was back to my normal self after a week.
One month plus, and I'm sick again. It is the same best friend, sore throat and flu.
I always thought I am a healthy person, despite my low blood pressure condition, low haemoglobin and knee pain :P
For as long as I can remember, I rarely fell sick. My friend said I have to accept the fact that I'm old now, getting sick more often is the sign. Accept it!
Excerpt from The Star fit4life Feb 22 2009:
"Exercise sessions should not be more than four days apart, and fitness levels generally start to fall significantly within 10-14days of cessation of exercise."
This powerful statement from Prof Dr Habinder Jeet Singh had me back in gym again, and I'm still maintaining it. I'd be in gym 2 days out of the 5 working days and an outdoor jog on either Sat or Sun. One gym day will be more focus on muscle building (light weightlifting) and the other day would be on cardio to increase heart rate (cycling or threadmill).
One tips on maintaining gym visit is never to allow yourselves to cancel gym. Sometimes you might tell yourselves, "Today I'm so busy, maybe I should just postponed it to tomorrow". This happen to me A LOT of times. Since work will never finish (when did you ever get to finish your job? new one will be here when you finish the existing one right?), and tomorrow will always be there so, beware, your gym visit may never get executed.
In order not to push out gym to the next day, sometimes I was in the company gym as late as 8pm. It does gets a bit spooky being surrounded by urself (full length mirror at 3 of the 4 walls) alone in the quiet gym room...

I am back to gym lately. I want to make sure that I'm exercising at least twice a week. Thrice would be perfect. I read an article in The Star saying that exercise must be done in an adequate intensity, duration and frequency that the body will be fit.Excerpt from The Star fit4life Feb 22 2009:
