The Fri before Merdeka
I had this guilty feeling lingering in me for the past 2 days. Why? Coz I've not done any workout on Wed and Thu, and still eating good food for dinner.
With so much rain lately, I didn't run at all during the weekdays of ww35. Plus, I had some knee problem after last Sun's 15km LSD. So this weekday's activity was just swimming. The previous swim (before today) was on Tue.
Today's rain started since this morning. I think it never stopped throughout the day. Even at 6pm when I was leaving office to PISA, it was still drizzling. It had been a cold day, I shivered just thinking about the icy water in PISA pool (but still headed to the pool).
Due to all the traffic jam, I only reach PISA sometime after 6.30pm. Took a shower before entering the pool. The water from the shower head was so extremely cold, I was freezing...trembled all the way from the toilet to the pool. Quickly jump into the pool and started swimming, felt like I was going to freeze and turn into an ice cube at that time.
Damn those Denggi mosquito killer! They were spraying the smelly smoke at a nearby apartment and that smoke travels all the way into the PISA pool air. My swimming routine was supposed to be healthy, but I doubt that's the case after inhaling so much of that smoke. The smell fades away after a long time.
Apart from that, it was a good swim. The pool was so empty, I had a lane all to myself. Most people must be busy traveling back hometown that's why nobody come to swim. I guess H1N1 scare too contributed to the dwindling swimmers.
Overall, a satisfying workout.
I hope tomorrow morning will be dry for my outdoor running.
