First visit to San Francisco

40mins drive away, I was at San Francisco. It wasn't the best weather to be visiting this place that day, it had been cloudy and foggy all day long. Pictures looked dull and moody. There will definitely be a second time to this place.
A not-so-busy street
I was there with a few other colleagues from other department. By the time we reach there, it was about 9.30am in the morning. At that time, there were still not many cars on the road. Along the way I saw people cycling and jogging, how I wish I could jog or cycle along. The temperature then was around 10 to 15 Celsius I supposed, the sun never show up until about 12.30pm, but only for a while.

I come to know that clam chowder and sourdough are both popular food in San Francisco, especially near Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. Other than that, the stalls there are also popular with seafood, mostly crab, prawn and lobster.

A row of stalls selling seafood

Crabs and prawn sandwiches sold in the stalls

...and lobster too...
I didn't try the lobster nor the crab nor the prawn. The crab here are much bigger than those back home, and their legs are longer too. A lobster cost about $25 if not mistaken. I only tried clam chowder in sourdough.
Popular clam chowder in sourdough, those yellowish thingy are biscuits, I forgot to take a picture before pouring them into the soup

The soup taste ok, nothing very special though...and the bread really live to it's name 'sourdough' coz it's really sour. I'd say bread not good coz i dun like sour food. A clam chowder in sourdough cost $5.70.

Tourist destination

Not far away, opposite the stalls, there were street performer doing their stunts. Some playing music, some with their dance routine, hoping to earn some extra cash during the weekend.

I also visited Chinatown. The place is filled with Chinese pharmacy, Chinese restaurant and sundry shop.

Isn't it obvious where I am?

Caution, steep road ahead
Lombard street, famous for it's steep and tight hairpin turns. It is the crookedest street in San Francisco.
I was driving, so didn't manage to snap how the road looks like. The corner is really sharp and the road is real steep. I stepped on the brake all the way down.

Seems to be quite a long post already. Ok la...that's it! End of post...
