Childhood dreams...fulfilled
Ignore me, ignore my writings (juz for this time). It was just a bunch of crap below. I'm boring and too lazy to do what I'm supposed to do...
It has always been a childhood dream of mine to be able to stay in hotels. In my family, traveling only happen, at most, twice a year. And the most we'd stay in hotel will be just 2 nights, which isn't enough to satisfy my dream.
When I was a kid, the best part I like about traveling is to be able to stay in hotels. Why I like hotels? I like the western breakfast in the morning (ham & egg & toast & butter in cube), I like the carpeted floor, I like the thick comforter and I like the air-cond.
This was all because of lack of exposure during childhood.
1. I don't get to eat western breakfast a lot, so I love it when I'm able to have it in hotel.
2. I don't get to step on carpeted floor often, school don't have carpet, home no carpet, the Parkson supermarket near my house in Kepong no carpet, but usually hotel rooms will be fully carpeted.
3. I like the thick comforter covering me up on the bed. I don't get to use thick comforter back at home, what I had was a big piece of cloth to cover me up. The hotel has it.
4. I like the air-cond in hotel, I don't get air-cond often during childhood, air-cond was a luxury back then. I had one very-noisy-water-dripping-air-cond in my home but we were limited to turn that ON only once a week (or was it once a month?) during very hot afternoon.
Although my life kind of changed after primary years. Things get a lot better after I moved back to Taiping. I'm exposed to things in the list above. I got air-cond in my room, I get to eat western food whenever I like, I started to have sets of comforter + matching bedsheet cover, though still no carpet floor :(
But, a dream is still a dream. You can't just take away a dream from me when it ain't even got fulfilled. I still dream of staying in hotels...
And now, I finally got my dreams fulfilled. I get to stay in a hotel for months in a foreign land :)

KC, what redwoods r u referring to? If you're talking about the previous post, they are not redwoods, they are Sequoia trees. I'll bring redwoods to you next time, it's in another national park ;)
