Back to running...

After a few weeks of consistent running on the treadmill, I feel that there's some improvement to my stamina. Some time ago, completing a continuous 30mins run seems impossible on the treadmill. I would have give up on minute ke-25.

Last week, and today as well, I manage to finish 40mins run. Covered 5.56km. The best thing is that I feel like I can still go further, but it's just too boring staring at myself for 40mins continuously :P

Btw, i have to admit that i'm a slow runner.

My goal today is to test if I can finish 5km within the 40mins time limit. That's one of the shortest distance category in the coming KL International Marathon (KLIM). I proved that I qualify, finished 5km in 36mins, just in time with little left to spare.

The next training will be to get the running time for 10km. Time limit in KLIM is 1.5hrs. I'm not confident about finishing 10km non-stop but I'll try my best. Anyway, my goal is to take part in the half marathon category. Haven't register yet...

I really need to find some place outdoor to run, some track where I will be able to know the distance. I am also in need of a running partner. Very hard to find running partner nowadays. Too many busy people around, they don't have time to exercise anymore. Even if they're free, they prefer to do something else than to exercise.

These are today's data from treadmill as a record:-
First 2km - just below 15mins
First 3km - 21.xmins
Fastest km - 6mins 58sec
Total time - 45mins (plus some walking at the end to cool down)
Total distance - 5.56km
