Thailand Long Tail Boat
These are traditional Thai fisherman long tail boats. It is common to see this type of boats around the many islands of Thailand.
The propeller at the end of the boat is extended making the already long boat even longer. Maybe that is where the name 'longtail boat' comes from.
Usually, at the front of a longtail boat is a bunch of colorful ribbons. The colorful ribbons signifies the fisherman's respect to water god, Mae Khong Kha.
During one of the interview, the fisherman shared that after the Tsunami the weather had changed. The wind was stronger, so were the waves. In the past, he can go out to sea 24days in a month but now, he can only go out to sea 10days in a month because of the waves (he uses long tail boat). This greatly affect his income. This is one of the symptom that our planet is sick.
If everyone can contribute their little effort in caring for the environment, I'm sure we can help our mother Earth to recover.

The information I shared here were obtained from HK TV show 'On The Road'. This episode covers on the Thais' life after the 2004 Tsunami.
